Fashion Background
Prior to the pandemic, I was heavily involved in the Portland fashion community. Utilizing my background in dance, and what I’d eventually come to realize as a knack for project management (which paired well with my interpersonal skills), I found myself coordinating my own photo shoots. Including personnel, wardrobe, location, props, poses, cross-brand collaborations, and even post work.
Eventually, this led to contributing behind the scenes during events, runway shows, and providing creative solutions and ideas for others to use. The ability to see my creativity flourish and see projects through each phase until we reached the final product, is what ultimately ignited a passion for project and operations management. I know that I am capable of accomplishing many things, but I’ve found that being able to engage, work with, and inspire a team of people to accomplish something larger, is far more satisfying.
